ACG The Art of Music

Three years ago, the first ACG combined concert Imagine took place with some 186 students involved across five schools. What was most clear was that every one of the ACG schools, irrespective of whether they were large or small in numbers, had talented music students and that, when they came together, a great evening’s entertainment ensued.

This year’s concert, ‘The Art of Music’, will be another highlight on the ACG calendar and is an excellent opportunity for the audience to experience a different aspect of school music. Our concert will showcase talented soloists in addition to a number of small and large ensembles that rehearse regularly throughout the school year. Whilst this year does not have a theme as with our music through the ages in last year’s Times Like These concert, it shows a wealth of talent and a wide variety of performances.

On the night, the performers always do us proud and make it all look easy. However, so much of this success is also due to a small team of diligent and dedicated music teachers who spend hours in rehearsal encouraging students and working hard to ensure they excel.
